In the Spring of 2022 I was contacted by Metropolis Coffee Company to help them craft new apparel and an espresso machine color scheme.
Metropolis Coffee took pride in being a playful coffee brand and their CEO, Tony Dreyfuss, wanted that playfulness translated into upcoming projects. Upon seeing the variety of design styles in my work he contacted me to spearhead multiple projects. The image above is one of the final pieces selected by Metropolis Coffee Company, which debuted at Coffee Fest 2022.
The first project was creating a color scheme for their new espresso machine that would be debuting at an upcoming trade show. The challenge was balancing the established colors of Metropolis products with the color schemes of their new products. Ultimately we were able to have both by taking the simple one-two color punch of Metropolis Coffee bags and altering their hues. Below is the final piece.
The other project was creating stylish but fun apparel. The pieces I made drew heavily from the eclectic ways graphic design could be implemented; single color screen-prints (as seen above), retro album cover art, and DIY signage are just some examples of the looks used. Above are a few highlights from the creative process.
